California College Campus Open Houses for 2018 and 2019 for prospective students

But first, some information about a local college fair :) 
Ventura High School will be hosting a local college fair on Thursday, November 8th with over 60 colleges scheduled to attend. 

And now on to your regularly scheduled blog....

If you're the parent of a high school junior, this is definitely the time to start checking out local colleges, and while campus tours are great, campus open houses are an excellent opportunity to get financial aid information, find out about extracurricular activities, and have a large portion of the campus geared to helping students see if it's the right/wrong college for them.

Here are some local college open houses for 2018:

Saturday, 9/15/18, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Cal State University, Channel Islands - Campus Preview Day

Friday, 9/21/18
Pepperdine University - Preview Day for High School Seniors only (h.s. juniors is in February 2019)

Sunday, 10/7/18
Loyola Marymount University - Open House
No RSVP necessary, but there isn't that much information about times on the website:

Saturday, 10/13/18
UCLA - Open House
They aren't scheduled to post information until August 29th, and once they do, I'll update this post :)

Sunday, 11/18/18, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
USC - "Discover USC" Day
You definitely need to RSVP online for this one, and you're allowed a maximum of 2 guests. The link and more information is here:

April 2019
Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo Open House
Their website says to check back in January 2019 for more information.
